Seminar about Protein aggregation and misassembly as pathomechanism and biomarker in subsets of chronic mental illness

As in other chronic brain diseases, aberrant proteostasis leading to specific aggregation of proteins can be detected in subsets of schizophrenia or other chronic mental illnesses. This allows novel approaches to define pathomechanisms, molecular diagnostic markers and causal pharmcotherapies.
