Changes in Capes Print Program

According to Capes, 1/3 of the grants made available for 2019 were transferred to 2023.

Considering that Capes’ system was blocked until these scholarships relocation was completed, the Pro-Rectory for Graduate Studies and Research had no way of knowing which scholarships would be available for this year. In this way, it decided to close for a few days the application forms for scholarship and missions’ requests in order to avoid the approval of candidates in 2019 whose scholarships would be transferred to 2023.

In 5^th of June, Capes opened again the system and the project coordinators had access to the scholarships that remained in 2019, which allowed us to open the application forms.

Among the changes implemented by Capes, there was an advance of the schedule of appointment of the scholars (below) which will oblige us to change the schedules of the internal calls.

Considering the proximity of the date of the nominations for September and October (until 30^th of June), we are announcing only evaluation’s schedule for scholarships and missions that will be implemented in September and October 2019. 

Soon, the extended timetable - which includes the appointment of scholarship holders for activities up to March 2020 - and the same will be rectified in next round of internal calls, will be announced.

We emphasise that the applications are open in a continuous flow allowing the candidates to present the documents in advance.
