Bachelor in Chemistry from the State University of Campinas (1987), earned a Master's degree in Organic Chemistry (1992) and Doctor of Science (1996) from the Institute of Chemistry, UNICAMP, and conducted postdoctoral studies in the area of Immunopharmacology and Immunotoxicology at the Faculty of Medical Sciences, UNICAMP, where he also acted as advisor and collaborator researcher. In 2003, she held internship in the Laboratory of Dr. Robert Wiltrout at NCI/NIH (USA) and in 2006 and 2008, in the Laboratory of Professor Maikel Peppelenbosch, Groningen University Medical Centre (Netherlands), with whom she maintains research collaboration. From 2007 to 2009 he was Visiting Professor at Universidade Federal de São Paulo (UNIFESP/EPM) and, currently, he is Adjunct Professor at UNIFESP/Campus Diadema. He develops research in the area of biochemical and molecular pharmacology and his studies aim to explore the biochemical pathways and cellular interactions that regulate proliferation, differentiation and tumor resistance, especially in onco-hematological diseases, in the search for new bioactive compounds.
