The session will present and explain the funding opportunities offered by the European Research Council, to run 5-year research projects in a University or research centre in Europe. This session presents the European Commission's in-house science service through examples of its role in support of EU policies, its activities at the cutting edge of scientific and technological developments and its state-of-the-art research infrastructures. This session will introduce the opportunities the Marie Sklodowska-Curie actions offer to researchers to come to Europe. It will guide the audience through the three ways of participating: (i) by applying directly to a vacancy in a project, (ii) by applying for an individual fellowship or (iii) by joining with a consortium of European Researchers to exchange staff between Europe and Brazil. The levels of funding and support available will be explained.
